Additive manufacturing, commonly known as 3D printing is not new technology, but only recently has it started to move to the forefront of manufacturing technology.  As well as manufacturing seeing the value of 3D printing, 3D printing is also of value to in-house design teams.

At Merlinworks, we have a 3D printing lab set up to suit a range of applications, from larger prints using Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) to smaller, highly detailed and precise prints using stereolithography (SLA). We are able to print in a range of materials, from standard PLA plastic filament to experimental ceramic and even castable wax. Paired with our 3D modelling and design capability, we can assist in rapid prototyping, taking advantage of our expertise to design, model, print, review and revise within a matter of days.
